Labor Day on Cape Cod……nothing better than that….and a beachside casual, fun, gourmet wedding with a ton of flowers!
Alec and Jo were not huge into planning every detail and micro-managing their wedding. In fact, since they were out of town with a lot on their plate, I actually met with Alec’s mom, first.
You know it's going to be a relaxed day when the bride & groom are helping each other get ready.
They made up little baskets of Turkish Delight which they handed out to guests at the end of the cereomy.
So, how many grooms do you think are having flip-flop envy here?
After the ceremony by the water, their guests enjoyed an extended cocktail hour in the back lawn.
I could not believe all the hors d'oeuvres!!! Usually I grab a shot of a scallop in bacon, or a stuffed mushroom going by...but this was a veritable parade of treats. Really wishing I could have tried the mini-mac & cheese cups - top left. Also, the tuna-tartar in the "ice cream cones" looked delicious.
Bocce, anyone?
Alec and Jo didn't feel like going back down to the water for more pics, so we made due with these beautiful sunlit trees. Not too bad, I think.
Too bad no one had any fun.
