I had the pleasure of meeting Ali last summer at Maureen and Luke ‘s wedding. She was newly engaged and in charge of handing out programs. Of course everyone was noticing her lovely new sparkly ring, and not wanting to steal any thunder Ali considered flipping her ring around. I was so happy when Sean and Ali booked me to photograph their wedding, too.
They both came in for the pre-wedding meeting, and the list of things that they had crafted themselves (and with a lot of help from family and friends!) was staggering! Signs leading to the reception, hand-carved table number stands, custom swizzle sticks (thanks grandma!), adornments on her shoes and jacket, menu cards, cake topper (which was ADORABLE), place cards (flat stones hand collected from freezing ocean waters in January), purses for each of the bridesmaids, the list goes on!!! I kind of wanted to have another wedding and let them handle all of the details!
Ok, ok……enough chit-chat….on with the pictures!

First look…

The ceremony music was acoustic guitar, and it was so beautiful I started to tear up! I also loved the song – Falling Slowly.

I caught Maureen sneaking Ali a smile during their flower ceremony.
They put their rings in this box that I think her grandfather had made, and passed it around to every guest to put their hands on. I think this is so special, and wish I had done something like this.
Hooray! Married!!! Let’s have some mojitos!!!

The bridal party all got to choose their own dresses and suits, the only thing matching were the groomsmen’s socks!

I just love this series….

As if the yummy cake wasn’t enough, they put out WARM cookies at the end of the reception!

You can never be too careful…
