I was so thrilled to be selected for a feature article in Southern New England Weddings – it is such a lovely magazine, and the spread looks fantastic! Thanks so much to Meredith Fancy for submitting it!

Hello July!!! I’m sure everyone is BEYOND thrilled to see the sun! (OK, I saw it yesterday, I think.) I shot Erica and James’ wedding a couple weeks ago when we were in the throes of the rainy day after rainy day after rainy day. The forecast for the day was, you guessed it, rain! Well, good fortune smiled upon them, and there was not a drop all day! Erica was the maid of honor at Catherine and Kevin‘s wedding last July on the Cape, and as soon as she got engaged she sent me an email – love that!!! Kelly & I started at her family’s house for some yummy detail shots…

champagne, anyone? yes, please!

Caught up with the groom at the church….this guy does not stop smiling. ever. It was fantastic.

These two flower girls were adorable – fully on-board with any and all flower girl duties. I also loved the dresses…not that I’m partial to green or anything.

So, remember what I said about smiling?

Meredith Fancy did the flowers – she did my flowers, too! Here’s a shot of the topiaries outside the church.

Erica and her dad used to go to the Chatham Fish pier everyday when they were there for the summer, so we swung by for a few pics. Sadly, nobody was bringing in a catch at the time.

We did however, talk a couple of fishermen into a photo op.

I almost forgot! I got this email from one of the groom’s sisters….(here she is next to the bride)
“I just wanted to thank you for being the best photographer I have been tortured by. I have been in 10 weddings and at many, many more (big families do that to a girl). I am not a huge fan of having my picture taken especially with groups of people all in the same outfit….nor of the massive line up shot, but you made it very pleasant… I am glad the weather held up for us, can’t wait to see the pictures!”
I love to hear stuff like this – when even people that don’t like having their picture taken have fun when I take their picture, I know I’m doing something right!

The cake topper – LOVED it!!!

I don’t know which I like better – the kid in mid-air in the middle, or the face on the boy on the right!

Congratulations you two! It was a fantastic day, thanks for letting me be a part of it.
