Hello there!

Time to share a few images from Laurie and Chris’s big day! It seems “casual but elegant” gets a bit over used these days, but I would definitely use those words to describe it. When I met with Laurie and she told me that there would also be a bounce house and a slushie machine, I thought about trying to sneak my kids along, too.

As luck would have it, the house next door was ALSO having a backyard wedding…the same day & time! Some of the younger guests made sure that no one walked into the wrong event.

The house was buzzing with activity, there were even a few kiddos swinging off of the bedposts as I was taking these pictures, you'd never know!

Laurie looking gorgeous....even though it felt like it was about 100 degrees!

Laurie's mom conducted the ceremony - I love the enthusiasm as she is pronouncing them husband and wife!!!!!!

Fireside catering took care of all the food....they are so fantastic. The food looks amazing, tastes delicious, and they are so friendly!

Hello everyone! I am just about a month behind, but catching up fast!!!

Here is another September wedding for ya’ll….

I was so honored when my photographer friend Jess’s sister Lindsay chose me to photograph her wedding. I know that photography was very important to them (or to Jess, anyway!!). They had a lovely relaxed day at their family’s home. She snuck into her dress right as I was walking in the door, but we still got some final touches.

I was going to do some portraits of Lindsay out on a second floor porch before she and Brent had their "first look"...however....he walked up the front of the house just as we were finishing up. It was all very Romeo and Juliet.

After wrapping up some formals at the house, we went down the road to a park for some more pictures with the bridal party. Nothing like getting it all out of the way before the cermony!

Wait! We're late!!!! (sorry, couldn't resist the cheesy joke.) Jess really wanted a running picture, and a jumping picture (maybe she was trying to work in a little cardio?), so I was happy to oblige. Luckily, so were Linsday, Brent, and the entire wedding party.

For the guestbook, they had guests do thumbprint leaves on a tree. Adorable!

We weren't allowed past the back pew for the entire ceremony, but between myself and Kelly in the balcony, we got a lot of great shots.

This little spot was right across from the church - are you kidding me? Giant hearts? Yes, please!!

On the way back to the house we stopped back at the park to get a few more pics of Brent and Lindsay by themselves, and of course a few with their pooch!
