I met Jason at his sister Amy’s wedding, and was so flattered that Julie was such a big fan she hired me before we even met!!

I started at Julie and Jason’s house with Julie’s fairy-tale wedding dress….seriously, it’s a princess dress. How can you not feel like a princess in a dress like this?

So pretty!!!!

A little champers never hurt…

Julie and her girls…all 10 of them!

Meanwhile, Jamie was hanging with the groomsmen….love this shot that he got.

After all of the miserable rain, everyone was delighted to see this gorgeous blue sky.

They had a special dance to I’ve had the time of my life from Dirty Dancing…..I have NO idea why I didn’t dance to this at my wedding. I’m such a sucker for that movie, and I really love to see a bride and groom having a blast at their own wedding. Knowing me, I probably would have talked my husband into ACTUALLY doing the lift, and then I would have missed my honeymoon due some broken ribs. Julie and Jason were much more graceful…

Now, I don’t know if I missed this trend in the bridal magazines, but in the last 6 months, I have had three brides who surprised their groom by singing to them. I was actually already wrapped up for the evening, but saw this happening and of course stayed to get a few shots. She sang Proud Mary and I have to say she rocked the house!!!! I couldn’t believe it!

Jason got in on the action, too…and then they both sang Livin’ on a Prayer. Totally awesome.

Congratulations and welcome back from Jamaica!!! Hope you had a fantastic honeymoon!!!

As many of you know, I have two young children that keep me very busy when I am not working. I feel very lucky to live in Southborough, which has so many great organizations and resources for families here.

I’ve been involved with Friends of Southborough Recreation who host great activities and holiday parties for the kids. At this year’s St. Patrick’s Day party, I took pictures of the kids attending, and printed them out on the spot for them to decorate. I did this free of charge, but accepted donations on behalf of Smile Train. This organization provides free cleft surgery for millions of children in developing countries.

I’m happy to say that between donations from the attendees, a contribution from me, and a generous donation from Friends of Southborough Rec, we achieved the goal of $250, which will provide surgery for one child.

Here are some of the beautiful smiling faces that made it happen!!!

The second entry in my fabulous/not-so-fabulous contest is from Deb, who was married in November of 2008. I remember this moment so clearly, I love to hear her tell the story!!!

“We got married November 29, 2008 and the reception was at the fabulous Hawthorne Hotel in Salem. Everything was amazing. My Not-So-Fabulous (which actually turned into a Fabulous) has to do with our so-called first dance. If we could do it all over again, I think my husband and I both agree that we would change our song. We picked some slow-dance Elvis song because we really didn’t have a song and it was the best “appropriate” song we could come up with after poring over iTunes for hours and hours. Who knows which one we actually picked – I can’t remember, and I’m certain that our guests and family members don’t remember (we’d have to watch the wedding video again to remind ourselves). We were too chicken to pick the song we really liked/wanted/that explained “us”… Survivor’s “The Search is Over.” We thought our guests would think we were stuck in the 80’s (the song came out in the early 80’s – 1984 to be exact) or that Bill really was a cradle robber…since I was 9 when the song came out. Thankfully (very thankfully!!) you stuck around until the last party shoe dropped and took pictures as our fabulous DJ played the song. I think you were actually packed up and had said goodbye, but you walked back to the dance floor and kept shooting. I’m so glad you did. It was my favorite moment of the night (Bill sang the whole song in my ear, I still laugh thinking about that) and has turned out to be my favorite picture from the wedding – I was so happy and the picture really shows it.”

<img src="http://nancygould.com/ngpnow/pics/20081129_blog/20081129_698.jpg" alt="width=" height="535"

<img src="http://nancygould.com/ngpnow/pics/20081129_blog/20081129_700.jpg" alt="width=" height="535"

Seriously, could they look any happier?? I don't think so. Thanks Deb!!!
