monkey & moose || warren conference center || ashland, ma

That’s right – Monkey & Moose, or….Moose & Monkey depending who you ask! Krista (Moose) and Michael (Monkey) found me through a few different people, and I was so happy when they booked me last year to shoot their wedding! They had been planning this day for a LONG time, and when you are thinking about your October wedding in New England, you are not dreaming about rain, rain, rain. Which is what it was doing on their wedding day. I started with the girls at the Warren Conference Center. Check out the sassy bridesmaid gifts!!

I absolutely loved her bouquet - all shades of red, but so unique!!

Meghann started over with the guys...they were pretty relaxed...watching TV and eating pizza!

I am such a sucker for cute flower girls & ring bearers....especially in some nice rainy day window light..

At the church, they asked guests to take a flower and make a wish for them. I love stuff like this...like when Ali & Sean passed around the box with their rings in it last summer.

Meghann was up on the side balcony and had a great angle!

So, I'm headed back to the reception site, and it STOPS RAINING. Right on cue. And the Warren Center is like a New England Fall mecca. Just lovely...

We even got to head down to the water - perfect!

And just as we are wrapping up, it starts raining again. Seriously.

Flash cards for table numbers....awesome.

The DJ's had everyone do the dollar dance/table captain thing....a little silly? Maybe. Great for pictures and fun dancing? Definitely.

The Warren Center is great because you can shoot from the balcony, too!

kelley and doug || charter oak country club || hudson, ma

Kelley and Doug couldn’t have had a more brilliant day for their wedding. Kelley was so excited, and starting tearing up as soon as she got her dress on. This is my new all-time favorite dress picture….and I love the one of Kelley on the funky ottoman. How convenient that the colors totally complemented her summer wedding!

Hello yummy light!!! The light was so delicious, and about to duck behind the trees, so I grabbed Kelley & Doug to do pictures with just the two of them before we did anything else! I was shooting at Charter Oak, where I’ve shot every year since 2004, but managed to find a few cool new spots that I’ve never used before!

The ballroom looked beautiful, as usual…..

The even had a “guest star” at their reception – Carl Beane, the Red Sox Announcer announced the bridal party! He’s friends with Kelley’s dad, and guests got to get their pictures taken with the World Series rings during the reception!

You could really tell how important their families are to them….here are some toasts from their siblings and dances with parents..

And I love this one of the moms giggling while they were cutting the cake….

This one however, totally FREAKED me out when I saw it right after I shot it. Being the mom of a 2.5 year old, it gives me the heebie-jeebies to see one flying through the air like this, but I still think it’s a cool picture!

There is definitely a Yankees/Red Sox rivalry that was carried out all the way through to the favors!!!
