Hi Everyone!
I took a short break from Cape Cod to shoot a lovely wedding at Moraine Farm in Beverly. I have shot here before, and it is a stunning location. Water, gardens, beautiful antique estate, I love it.
So, when we arrived at the Estate, there was blazing sun, and a bright blue sky. But unfortunately, the forecast didn’t lie, and just as guests were arriving, and the ceremony was due to start in the garden, it started pouring. Not a little sprinkle…..a DOWNPOUR. Tate couldn’t help but be bummed, and so was Liz.
Liz put her game face on, and the show went on…just under the tent instead of outside. So lovely…
As we approached the tent, there was literally thunder and lightning. The rain falling on the tent was crazy loud. But – you know what you get when you walk down the aisle in a downpour? Applause!!! Thunderous applause!
One of Liz’s brothers, her twin brother Will, performed the ceremony. My favorite part was when he was saying the vows for Liz to repeat to Tate, and HE started choking up. So unbelievably sweet. Of course there was a ripple effect and you could see everyone around starting to tear up as well. He pulled it together and finished the ceremony just fine.
Married!!!
It was still raining, so we started doing some formal pictures inside. The look and feel of their dresses and tuxes totally meshed with the feel of the estate.
It started to clear up so we started edging our way outside….
And then, wouldn’t you know – rainbow!!
Now we got to explore all the cool gardens and tea house…
I don’t have a link, but a family (member or friend? I can’t remember…) made the cupcakes & cake. So pretty!
