Hello and Happy New Year!!!

Or, Groundhog’s Day as the case may be. I hope everyone is having a great winter. I love winter because I actually have time to cook, exercise a bit, and (gasp!) read a book!!!

Allison and Matt had a beautiful January day for their wedding. It was the anniversary of their first date. These two are just adorable, as you will see in these photos! They planned the wedding from New Jersey, so I only met them on their big day.

I started with the girls who were getting ready in Allison’s grandmother’s house. She had her old, new, borrowed, & blue! The headpiece was her grandmother’s, and you have to love the purple uggs!!!

I arrived at the church and checked in on Matt who was all alone waiting for the ceremony to start. I always feel bad when the groom is on is own like that!!! Matt didn’t seem to mind, and was keeping his cool.

There were so many little personal touches throughout the day….and always in purple and orange! (so close to MY colors….right?!) The wands had ribbons and bells and were for their big exit.

Allison and her dad….and Matt’s reaction. Seriously…so sweet!!!

This church was also the church where Allison’s grandparents and parents got married. Allison sent me a scan of one of her parents’ wedding proofs and asked if I could get a similar picture. Well, any of you that know me know that I LOVE this kind of stuff!!! If there had been an aisle runner and they hadn’t changed the stain on the woodwork, this would be perfect!! {even so, it’s still pretty good, if I do say so myself….}

This church had the SQUEAKIEST floorboards known to man, but I tried to keep a low profile as best I could.

Married!!!

We went right to the Neighborhood Club after the ceremony and got some great shots. Not everything has to be in sunshine on the beach!!!

Allison and Matt love to cook, so the favors were all different cooking tools (in purple and orange, of course!) attached to some of their favorite recipes.

width=

They are also huge hockey fans, so made their entrance in to the tune of “Welcome to the Jungle” wearing jerseys with their wedding date on them!

Something tells me Allison and Matt will appreciate this (not-so-hidden) Mickey!!! :)

width=

Matt gave all the groomsmen custom cufflinks as groomsmen gifts, love it! As you can see, Greg Hodges did an awesome job of packing the dance floor, as usual!

And could this little one be any more charming? I don’t think so.

Congratulations Allison and Matt! Thanks so much for including me in your day – I wish you lots of love and pixie dust!! :)

Nina + Eric || Wychmere Beach Club || Harwich Port, Massachusetts

Hello everyone!

I seriously cannot believe that it is November….and I am blogging my LAST wedding of the season! 2012 was a fantastic year for nancy gould photography, and I have all my fantastic clients and fellow vendors to thank for that.

Anyway, on to the pictures!! Nina and her girls got ready at 54 Snow Inn Road which is such a neat house right down the road from Wychmere. She was pretty much ready to go as soon as I got there, so it was on with the dress and off for the first look! But not before I got a shot of those lovely Manolos….

Amy was over with the guys at Wychmere Cottage – check out the sky. What an amazing day….especially considering that a hurricane swung through a few days later.

Cuties!

First look on the dock…

We knocked out most of the formals and not-so-formals before the ceremony.

I LOVE this series of Nina on the couch. How perfect??

Anyone looking for some hair-spiration? Lisa George & her team did an awesome job. The only bad thing about this job is when I see things at weddings that I wish I had at MY wedding. Like, any one of these hairstyles, for starters…

Married!

Since we already got all the family must-haves on the garden before the ceremony, we were free to sneak down to the beach for some fun ones!

width=

All this and they got to join the cocktail hour, too! (Not that I’m making a plug for doing your pictures before the ceremony or anything…)

The Harbor Room looking lovely with a navy blue and pink nautical theme…

Say cheese!

Eric just has the best expressions – love it!!!

Congratulations Nina and Eric!!!

Thanks for having such a fun beautiful day to close out my 2012 season! I know it’s tough coming home from Hawaii, but hopefully these pictures make it better!
