Hello everyone!!!

I figure everyone is at home all snuggled in, so what could be a better day to post a beautiful winter Berkshires wedding?

I had such a good time chatting with Melissa and Kim when they came to visit me at my (now snowed-in) studio that I knew we would have a fabulous time, and I was right! Melissa had said that she had always envisioned a winter wedding, and was really hoping for some “snow globe snow” for the wedding day. You know – the snow that looks perfect, but isn’t going to prevent all of your guests from attending?

I showed her an album from Mark & Emily’s wedding that I had shot in Vermont and she was like – yes! perfect!!!

Well, after almost no snow leading up to the weeks before their wedding, exactly one half-hour before we were supposed to start shooting, the first tiny flakes began to fall!

I started with Melissa in the mansion, and Jamie was with Kim in one of the cottages. Melissa already had her ceremony dress on, but her party dress was hanging up ready to go!

Cue the snow!!! I opened the door in Melissa’s room and the snow came wafting in – I couldn’t believe how perfect it was!!!

We had lots of time for portraits before hand – didn’t even matter that we couldn’t go outside, there were so many cool little nooks and crannies in the mansion that it was so fun shooting inside.

The ceremony was right in the resort, I’m pretty sure it was exactly what they imagined!

Married!

How fun is this staircase?! I felt like I was shooting on location at Downton Abbey! (For the record, Kim is a fan, Melissa is not)

We even managed to talk them into going outside for a few – how pretty!

Don’t know if I’ve seen a happier entrance!

Congratulations Kim and Melissa! It was such a great day for you two, and I didn’t even mind having to stay overnight at a mansion because of the snow! I’ll bet you wish you were still in Hawaii today, but hopefully you have fun looking at all these photos!
