Second (almost) annual fabulous/not-so-fabulous contest!!!

I had such a great response with my first fabulous/not-so-fabulous contest, I am so excited to do it again! I meant to do it last year, but somehow, the winter got away from me before I could set it up!

The first time that I did this, it was open to all past clients. This time, all of my clients from 2008 and 2009 can participate! Here’s how it works….

I know that all of you have stories to tell about your weddings, so spill it!!! For some people, it’s something you really wish you had done differently. For others, it’s something you did that you were so thrilled with! For most, it’s a little of both.

maybe……..

you wish you didn’t wear a strapless dress?
you sat alone with your new husband?
you didn’t sit alone with your new husband?
your reception was too long? too short?
you broke in your shoes before hand?

or………

your wedding cake was the best thing you’ve tasted in your entire life?
you are so glad that you stuck around the next morning?
the dance lessons were the best investment you made?
wearing your mother’s pearls meant the world to her?
nobody could not stop talking about the warm chocolate chip cookies they put out at the end?

This was so much fun last time, I can’t wait to read the next batch of stories. And to thank you for your time, two lucky submitters will win a 16×20 fine art gallery wrap canvas print (worth $275!) from their wedding or engagement pictures. The first will be drawn out of a hat, and the second will be the post that receives the most comments (from unique users) on the blog.

Please email your stories to nancy@nancygould.com. The deadline for entries is Friday, March 5th. I will choose the first winner from all of the entries, and the second winner will be declared 15 days after I make the last post from this contest.

baby alexander

Seems like I was just finishing up Lauren & Kim’s maternity shoot when I got the happy email that baby Alexander decided to arrive two weeks early! I got to deliver their prints in person (which never happens!) and meet the rest of the family.

I just adore this picture, probably because I spent a lot of time doing this with my babies (yes, it looks a little strange, but he’s just getting a good burp!), and I love Sadie playing with her new little brother’s toes, and even that you can see the balloons in the background.

Also, this might be my new favorite family picture...

It was so nice seeing you guys again...I could have chatted all morning about swaddling, bottles, and the Backyardigans. Here's to Alex being a good sleeper!!
