Hi everyone!
Here is another gorgeous planned from afar destination wedding for you! Allison and her family is from Texas (my second Texan bride this year!), and Ryan’s family is from New England, so they treated everyone to a beautiful weekend in Newport for their big day!
I started with Allison and her mom and sister in the chalet getting ready. I tried not to drool over her dress too much.
While they continued with hair and make-up, I took a walk around the reception site to capture some details before everyone arrived. The flowers were amazing.
Time to go!
Ryan and Allison got married under this floral huppah with the ocean behind them. I’m used to the beaches on the cape, but there was something about being perched on this cliff over the water.
The clock was ticking after the ceremony and we hopped into a golf cart to do some photos at the lighthouse there. Cue the dramatic cliffs and pink light – love it!
When we got back to the ceremony and cocktail hour to do some family photos, it was – you guessed it – after sunset! No worries – fire up the tripod and off-camera lights and you have beautiful twilight photos with the bridge lit up in the background! I had to get just one more of Allison and Ryan, too.
I also went back into the tent for a few more photos of the tables, now with the full effect of the custom chandeliers.
S’mores anyone? Or late night grilled cheese? Yum.
Not only did Allison have an exquisite wedding dress, she had a very chic cocktail dress to change into for the last part of the reception.
