fabulous/not-so fabulous – #13

Next up are some tips from Cara, a 2005 bride. One of my favorite memories from their wedding was that they played “The Rainbow Connection” for Jon’s dance with his mom – how cute is that? I totally teared up…. “There really isn’t a lot that I would do differently. Looking back (almost 3 years...

Next up is a story from Sue. She says that she’s not comfortable speaking in public, but I had no idea! She made a great speech about her dad with the cutest story of the two of them doing a paper route together. “For my father/daughter dance, I had known for years that we would...

Next entry is from Heather, a 2005 bride. I remember her ceremony being very well-done and entertaining, as well! Sometimes having a friend or family member perform the ceremony can be a bit of a disaster, but not in this situation! “I still glow when I think about what a phenomenal experience our wedding was....

Next up are some tips from Meredith and Chris who definitely had a relaxed, fun day. I absolutely loved her nephew who had a green lollypop in his hand coming down the aisle. He didn’t wear his fancy shoes, but in the end, it doesn’t really matter!! “There honestly isn’t much we would have changed...

First, I have to say that I can’t wait to see more pics. Mer & Chris look AMAZING in all the pics I’ve seen so far…
Also, what a great weekend we had; the whole weekend was so fun. I loved that we all got to stay at the B&B together. That made it extra special.
As a bridesmaid, I do wish I had picked more sensible shoes. I’m afraid to look at the video because I know I was walking funny. Oh well!
It was such a great wedding!!ReplyCancel

        • jeng

Mer and Chris’ photos are absolutley beautiful! Nancy clearly captured the feeling of the day and how great Mer and Chris are together!
One thing I would change – I wish I had not stressed about my little guy not wanting to go down the aisle! In the end it was adorable that he wore his favorite sneakers and ate a green lollipop and a bag of marshmallows during the ceremony! How funny that I carried him, a bouquet, the ring bearer’s pillow and my big pregnant belly (little Ella!) while wearing heels down the aisle and those stairs!
I am so proud that we were a special part of Mi Mer and Apple Crisp’s Wedding Day!ReplyCancel

The next installment is from Lisa – some of you might recognize her pictures (even though her wedding was before I was keeping a blog!) because I have been using images from their wedding in a slideshow that I show clients when they come to meet with me. My favorite one of these stories is...

Next entry is from Sarah – they had such a fun day last June up at the Gloucester Elks at Bass Rocks…….. (I love her comment about Pringles and M&M’s……what could be bad about those? I am also guilty of paying about $8 for 10 Pringles from a mini-bar and loving each and every one….)...

The first image of John and Sarah is exactly how I picture them when I look back on their wedding day. Happy-go-lucky and downright giddy to have fallen in love and to be sharing it with their closest friends and family. Their marriage is everything I have always hoped my big brother would find in life, and I am so happy for them both. Plus – just look at them. They’re hot!ReplyCancel

          • alex

i have to agree with bridget on the first photo. it just absolutely captures sarah and john, just as they are. in a way, i feel like the photo is a spot-on representation of what their marriage is: one full of laughter, love, and genuine happiness. And they just look fabulous together!ReplyCancel

          • Alle

The wedding was so fun- as you can definitely see in the photos! Sarah looked amazing (as always) and John is a lucky lucky duck… 😉ReplyCancel

          • Bart

First off, this was one of the best weddings I’ve ever been to. The music, the food, the company….I couldn’t dream up a better wedding day. Sarah was shining in her dress; John was so handsome.

My favorite picture is the family around the kitchen counter- It really shows the true Harris family love.

My favorite moment at this wedding was when John turned to me and said, “Hey, Procacci, did I ever tell you that I love your last name?!?!” Haha- oh John.ReplyCancel

          • Karen

By far, this was one of the best and most organized weddings that I have attended. The entire day was seamless from beginning to end. Wishing only the best for both of you!ReplyCancel

          • Gina

The wedding was wonderful – definitley a family affair and a lot of fun. The location was beautiful – second OF COURSE to how beautiful Sarah looked!! The pictures were also great! They do look like art and absolutely capture all the love that the day was filled with!

We miss you guys & love you very much!!! xoxoxoxoxoReplyCancel

Sarah and John both look so beautiful. They are a perfect match and it seems as though the wedding day was perfect as well. Way to stick to your guns about the chocolate cake!ReplyCancel

          • Julia

These photos are great! They really capture all the fun of that day, it was absolutely wonderful! I couldn’t have imagined a better wedding for my big brother, nor a better sister in law!ReplyCancel

you guys look great. seems like the party was tons of fun.ReplyCancel

          • caito13

I was part of the “cake tasting” and was so excited that Sarah and John went with the chocolate icing and (my favorite) mint chocolate chip for a layer! Sarah has always been one to start trends, so I am not surprised that chocolate icing is now “in”!

These photos are just a few examples of what a great time the wedding was, and the wonderful marriage that Sarah and John share!!ReplyCancel

          • MARICHELLE

Love the wedding cake! Sarah, you really should write a How-To or at least publish your “favorites”. Totally agree with you on the whole veil thing – I actually borrowed one from a friend.ReplyCancel

          • Jessica

So orgranized Sarah! I’m going to take some pointers from you! Still debating whether to get a videography or just go with the stills….decisions, decisions. You’re pictures look great! Very telling of your special day.ReplyCancel

          • Julia

As I’ve said before, you guys just look so gorgeous and happy! I love hearing the advice; my fiance is set on a DJ instead of a band and I was wavering, but sounds like it’s the right way to go! (In the TV biz too, but for some reason I don’t imagine watching the video that much either 😉ReplyCancel

          • Kat

Look at that cake! Gorgeousness. I would feel bad eating it. Beautiful pictures Miss Sarah!ReplyCancel

Loved the photos from the wedding – so much so that I ordered some right away, and one sits atop our bar still! Different poses and candid shots not just of the bride and groom, but of everyone having a great time. Watching Sarah’s absolute joy and John’s beaming looks of love cast in her direction all day and night was an absolute delight. Congratulations again!ReplyCancel

I agree with what was said about the first photo. I believe it captured so much about Sarah and John’s relationship as well as the wedding itself. It was so much fun, and it all came and went so fast. I was very happy to be part of such a memorable event!ReplyCancel

sarah! I love all your tips and advice for the wedding day! I have to agree about giving time for prep on the day, I was in my best friends wedding and some of the girls didnt leave enough time before and it was rush rush and no time to enjoy it all before we left for the wedding. I love the photo of the albums and play list its very creative.ReplyCancel

I love the first photo because it truly captures the pure and genuine love they have for themselves AND each other. They are so present in that particular moment and it shows. Sarah and John did not miss a beat when making all those wedding decisions. It was shear perfection!!! I am so glad that my Godson John found such a special person to spend the rest of his life with. My husband Bill and I had had a fabulous vacation filled with fun, love and laughter. We both wish them nothing but love, luck and happiness in thier future together.Love, Susie and BillReplyCancel

I had a great time basking in the light of the union of two souls. And wow! Those pictures really capture the beauty of the occasion. You know, the Beatles said, “all you need is love,” but I think you also need a great photographer with an eye for the moment to record the experience for posterity. Yeah!ReplyCancel
