Hi everyone!!

Hope you all are enjoying this beautiful fall! I refuse to believe that snow is on the way, so we are going to keep talking about beautiful fall weddings and engagement shoots and all of that good stuff!!

So, do I love shooting giant ballroom weddings with big wedding parties and all the trimmings? Yes! Do I also love shooting small, intimate family weddings by a lake? You bet!

I was so happy to get a call from someone that I’ve known since the 5th grade, when I moved to Massachusetts from Pennsylvania – my friend Derek who I used to sit next to in social studies class. We both went to Falls School together, then junior and senior high school, and then even both went to UMASS Amherst!

He was planning a small wedding with his and Danielle’s families in attendance, and I was so excited I could be there to document it. Their dog was perfectly happy strolling back and forth in the lake during the entire wedding.

I love this set – Danielle’s mom when she realizes yes, this is really happening, and her dad’s big grin after he drops her off at the altar. So sweet.

Married!!

They had a few toasts, a few dances…perfect.

Their pup got in a lot of the photos – whether it was planned or not! (can you find him in the top two?)

Anybody who knows me well knows that I am a sucker for old photographs, and I’m totally game for recreating them when people are up for it! Derek emailed me this photo before the wedding of his parents, so I saved it to my phone and we did our own version!

Everyone headed over to the Farmhouse Restaurant in Needham, it was so cute and I loved all the personalization they did for them. I even had my name on my own Mason jar!

Congratulations to both of you!! Thanks for including me, and it was so nice to see someone I’ve know for so many years so happy!!
