Elizabeth and Christopher || Martingale Wharf || Portsmouth, NH

Hello and happy July!!!!

It feels like it has been summer forever, and also that it is going by so fast all at the same time. I hope that you all have been able to enjoy a little time near some kind of water with all of this heat we have been having!

Elizabeth and Chris were one of my many long distance planning couples this year. We had only chatted on the phone when they hired me, but were able to squeeze in a little studio visit in the spring before their big day.

Liz grew up on the cape, but her brother now lives in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and owns a fantastic restaurant right on the water, so that is where they got married. It was fabulous!!! We started up in Rye where Liz and her girls were getting ready.

Disclaimer – as much as I LOVE food…I am also equally drawn to pretty, unique, sparkly things. Liz’s sister owns her own jewelry boutique, and everything you see here was either custom-made by them, or available in their shop. I already logged on and created a wish list. (link at the bottom of post) Right – her dress wasn’t too shabby either!!!

Get a lot of these ridiculously cute junior bridesmaids & flower girls!!! I love the dresses, reports were that they were super comfy.

Matt was downtown with the guys before they headed off to the church. Here are Liz and Chris making final touches.

Gorgeous! Am I right? We didn’t have a minute to spare, so it was off to the church!!

Married!!!

After the ceremony we headed over to Prescott Park. I was in heaven with all of the brick buildings!

Throw in some late afternoon sun and a happy bride and groom and I’ve got everything I need!

Chris and Elizabeth were lucky enough to picked up at the dock at Prescott Park and arrived to their waterfront reception via boat. Pretty schnazzy!!!

Their reception was designed to be a very relaxed cocktail party….there was a constant stream of chatting, food, cocktails, and dancing. I was a fan of the hundreds (it seemed) of champagne glasses lining the circular bar for their toasts. They also had his & hers cocktails.

To make sure they sat down for a * couple * minutes and had some time to themselves, they set up a private table for them on the dock. Shame about the view.

Congrats to both of you Liz and Chris!! There is nothing that makes me happier than to see a bride and groom truly enjoying their reception, and you two certainly did that!!
