Well, thanks to all my 2008 and 2009 brides for their fabulous/not-so-fabulous stories….now it’s back to business with Julie and Jason’s beautiful spring wedding!! I met Jason at his sister Amy’s wedding, and was so flattered that Julie was such a big fan she hired me before we even met!!
I started at Julie and Jason’s house with Julie’s fairy-tale wedding dress….seriously, it’s a princess dress. How can you not feel like a princess in a dress like this?
Julie waiting patiently to put it on….
A little champers never hurt…
Julie and her girls…all 10 of them!
Meanwhile, Jamie was hanging with the groomsmen….love this shot that he got.
After all of the miserable rain, everyone was delighted to see this gorgeous blue sky.
We did a few quick portraits before the ceremony…I love this light coming in on the balcony, and they are just too cute together!
The room for the ketubah signing was packed, but I love this shot I got of them from behind.
I love this shot, so much fun…
They had a special dance to I’ve had the time of my life from Dirty Dancing…..I have NO idea why I didn’t dance to this at my wedding. I’m such a sucker for that movie, and I really love to see a bride and groom having a blast at their own wedding. Knowing me, I probably would have talked my husband into ACTUALLY doing the lift, and then I would have missed my honeymoon due some broken ribs. Julie and Jason were much more graceful…
Now, I don’t know if I missed this trend in the bridal magazines, but in the last 6 months, I have had three brides who surprised their groom by singing to them. I was actually already wrapped up for the evening, but saw this happening and of course stayed to get a few shots. She sang Proud Mary and I have to say she rocked the house!!!! I couldn’t believe it!
Jason got in on the action, too…and then they both sang Livin’ on a Prayer. Totally awesome.
Congratulations and welcome back from Jamaica!!! Hope you had a fantastic honeymoon!!!
