Hi everyone!!
I have one more August wedding to share with you! August was a super-busy month for weddings for me!!
I met this bride back in 2013 when I was running the Boston Marathon for Dana-Farber. We ran together that year as well as 2014 (otherwise known as the year I got to finish for the first time!). I always think of her as being super sweet, very positive, and often with pancakes in her pocket! (much better than GUs or clif bars!)
The whole event took place at the lovely Lyman Estate in Waltham. The building, the grounds, the furniture – it all creates this enchanting feel for the day.
Kate’s sister made the wedding cake – it was a work of art!
The guys were right down the hall, keeping it nice and simple!
I’ve been doing this for over 10 years – but there is nothing like getting to witness that moment when someone realizes – “this is really happening!”
We did their first look on the stairs – how adorable are they?!
Like a few of my August weddings, nothing but gorgeous bright summer colors here!!

Kate and Cal did the favors/escort cards themselves – tiny succulents!
How amazing are these bouquets? The florist really nailed the colors.
They had lawn games out for the guests – Kate was first to score. #winning!
I even jumped into a group DFMC photo (thanks to Kate’s uncle for taking this!). Look for Grace’s wedding coming to this blog next June! And even though I swore up and down that I wasn’t going to run in 2016 – sometime between now and then I got talked into it, and I am officially a part of the DFMC 2016 team!! Woo hoo!
Any of you who have been following this blog know that I am a big fan of recreating photos – they had a photo of their grandparents on the guest book table that looked like the image on the right! Love it!
Congratulations to both of you! Loved following all of your exploits on your exotic honeymoon! And Kate – I hope we get to be running buddies again next year! 🙂
