Hello there!!!

I have something a little different to share with you today – an engagement party!! I loved my engagement party, although I can’t believe how long ago it was now. (13 years married this past Monday!) There is something so nice about a casual party where you just get to walk around and chit chat all night, not to mention eat delicious hors d’oeuvres!!

Katie and John had their party on the Hotel XV roof deck. There had been a sketchy weather forecast all week, but it turned out to be a beautiful evening.

Of course everyone wanted their photo taken with the view!!

One of the main reasons Katie wanted me there for the party was to great this great shot of the entire roof deck with the skyline in the background. She told me there was a “set of stairs” going up the side of the building that I could climb up to get the shot. Ummmm, Katie….those don’t look like stairs. That looks like a super scary ladder.

Well, I can’t say that was the most fun thing I’ve ever done, but I did it!

Towards the end of the evening, all the guests were moved down into the wine cellar for dessert. So cute!

Hope you two had a great time at your party, the next year will fly by!!! Glad I got a chance to meet all of your families. Looking forward to next July!!! (and hopefully no huge scary ladders will be involved!!!)
