Happy Summer everyone!!

Hope everyone is having fun and not melting!!! Today is the last day of school for my kids, so now is the time of the season where I start working the “night shift”. I’m typically in the studio for a couple hours in the morning answering emails, and then I’m with the kids during the day. I usually hand them off to Stephen around dinnertime, and then work 6-1 in the studio. It’s not for everyone, but I love it. I get to enjoy the sunshine and my kids, and can get all of my processing done once the sun goes down. 🙂

Kim and Damien had a spectacular wedding day in June. The weather report was pretty sketch all week, but it turned out just fine!! They both got ready at the Lenox Hotel in Boston. I arrived in Boston with plenty of extra time, figuring I would just drive to the Lenox and then find the nearest lot or garage and park there. I had no idea I was driving right in the middle of the Gay Pride Parade! Everywhere we turned there were roads closed. We parked about a half a mile away and then pretty much ran to the Lenox. It was pretty ironic, because it was the last half mile of the marathon which I never got to run!

Everyone was in good spirits when we arrived!!

Kristin was with the guys…apparently there was a lot of putting the tie on, taking the tie off…when Damien saw Kim he said he was missing her, because she usually helps him out with that!!!

I looooooved the back of Kim’s dress!!!

This might be my new favorite family photo – I shot it right after Kim’s dad saw her for the first time, they are all a little misty-eyed!!

We did the first look right outside the suite. Kim was trying so hard not to cry so she didn’t ruin her make-up, but didn’t succeed! (spoiler alert – make up help up just fine!)

Luckily the parade was over, so we could head up to Ipswich!

Kim and Damien had a lot of family photos that they wanted, so we did all of their formals before the ceremony, which worked out great. What a beautiful spot!

The weather held out, and they were able to have their ceremony outside – complete with bagpiper.

There was a balcony right next to the ceremony area which made for a great angle!

We had time to hop in the golf carts and do a few more portraits of the two of them after the ceremony. They were so happy!!! Married!!

They met at Fairfield, so had different buildings as all of the table names. Also, apparently Damien is obsessed with Basset Hounds, so they were the cake topper. They don’t have one yet, but I’m sure there is one in their future!

Congratulations to Kim and Damien and welcome back from Hawaii – I’m sure it was fabulous!! I hope you love all the photos – you two were so fun to photograph!!!
